Yesterday, Wednesday while I was working or traveling back to Mobile from Ocean Springs Jill got to give Brayson a bath. The nurses in the NICU try to encourage parents to get as much hands on experience as possible so they will know when they get home. Sort of like me the other day with the stinky diaper. They just told me I was going to change it and walked away. Well Jill got to do this with the bath. They did give her some instructions though. Brayson was really good throughout the bath. He did not cry the whole time! I really hate I missed it! There will be plenty oppurtunities though.
All the boys are still on their high flow canulars. They are still having heart rate drops daily. They mostly have them during feeding times though. Brayson is now eating a little more than an ounce of food per feeding. Approximately 34ccs he was eating 29ccs. Emerson and Cooper are now getting 29ccs like Brayson used to. 29ccs is 1cc less than an ounce. Emerson now weighs 3lbs 10.5 oz, Brayson is weighing 4lbs 4oz and Cooper weighs 3lbs 10.8oz. They are getting a lot a sleep as well. I like to call it a lot of shut eye!
I went to see the boys this morning before work and Cooper was wide awake. Cooper and I had a good conversation this morning. Mostly talking about my work! Emerson and Brayson were a sleeping.
Check out these pictures of Brayson's bath.
Thanks for the prayers and keep them coming.

I just found the blog through Kate's FB. Yay! It is so great to read through all of the posts and hear how things have progressed. It looks like you guys are doing an amazing job. Our thoughts are with all of you!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing how things are progressing! The prayers are still coming your way.
ReplyDeleteI love this post (though it makes me feel old knowing that my little cousin is a mama) because of Squirt's maternal, loving look while bathing Brayson!
ReplyDeleteOkay...I've trying to post a comment, for the 3rd time..I guess they are going somewhere but I can't find exactly where they are going..Thanks Amon for the directions, I'm guessing I needed directions for dummies, as I must not be doing something right! UGH~
ReplyDeleteYou all look wonderful..the boys seem so alert with bright eyes..I love seeing the photos of you and Jill doing all the special things, changing diapers, baths etc..You both are such special parents already, as you have to be special to be parents to TRIPLETS, Boy triplets too.. :o)
Am I the only one that can't tell them apart? I love the hats they had one..I can see those little rascals playing serious tricks on me in the future.. LOL
